Her Version

Remember this is my version, the authentic one. Pete’s will be fabricated! (Joking of course) It all came out of nowhere honestly. But, we met in 2016, when I was assigned to his work site. Funny that one of my task was to watch my soon to be stepson for the day, and teach him lacrosse. Fast forward to 2023, I was now assigned again to the range. We remained friends over the years. Well according to Pete, he has always been fond of me, but I was never available. Life came crashing down on me, I was reassigned to another assignment, and what I thought to be a joke is how this all started. “Well now I can date you.” I laughed it off, because honestly joking is what we did best. We went on our first date, and let’s just say the rest is what led to us getting married in September. I was so nervous, I had to ask my friend if I should go on this date. Sis, I owe you! The attention to detail is what was the most important. He applied his “pressure”. If you know you know. I have received flowers every Friday since we started dating. He started going to almost all my treatments with me, to make sure I didn’t have to drive in case I was not feeling well or too tired. Making sure on those days, I didn’t have to worry about diner for the kids or even myself.&nbsp;Pete says it best. We matched each other’s energy, it came genuinely. The things that made us very different from one another, turned out to be the best for both of us. Having a partner who is your best friend is key! The foundation being a friendship shapes everything. We like each other! We like to do things together, go places together, talk about any and everything. I think it’s safe to say we have been each other’s best adventure. We can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with you!

His Version

My Love Story with Brittany - I met Brittany when she was first hired onto the police department and she was assigned to the range as a recruit. I forget the year, but it had to be 2017 or 2018.&nbsp;I was a veteran on the police department and she was brand new. She was in her early 20s and i was in my mid 40s.&nbsp;There were so many noticible differences between us but I immediately rocognized how beautiful she was and how genuinely friendly she was. We knick name all the recruits with a version of the name Bobby, and I immediately gave her the name of Bobby Runway, because she was such a beautiful woman.&nbsp;She looked like a runway model to all of us older guys. I didnt know too much about her, other than she seemed like a wonderful person.&nbsp;I entrusted her to babysit my son when he came to work with me and allowed her more freedom than I otherwise would have to a recruit.&nbsp;Once she became a police officer, we maintained contact more so as work realated friends, but I was alwasy happy to talk to her or see her.&nbsp;If I ever needed to get information from the zone she worked in I would always call her.&nbsp;She doesn't know this, but if too much time went by or I heard something about her, I would make some reason up to call her just to touch base. She was always so friendly and helpful.&nbsp;Life went on for both of us, but we were never that far out of touch.&nbsp;Several years ago we needed an officer to replace a promoted instructor.&nbsp;Brittany's name was brought to our attention by Ryan Stephens and we all thought she would be a great fit.&nbsp;I was excited to be working with her everyday and knew she was a hard worker.&nbsp;She had some life changing events going on at the time but she was always smiling and had such a positive attitude.&nbsp;The more I got to know her the more I liked her.&nbsp;We joked around constantly about anything and everything.&nbsp;I don't want to sound like a cliche, but there was a strong connection between us.&nbsp;Us dating or having any other type of relationship was never on my mind.&nbsp;I learned everything about her and she learned everything about me.&nbsp;We even joked about our past and current relationships.&nbsp;I told her she couldn't keep a man, that she would never get a man with her three kids.&nbsp;I guess I will eat those words for the rest of my life.&nbsp;She would go just as hard towards me, but it was all in good fun.&nbsp;One day at work, out of the blue, our very dear mutual friend, Karmen Williams, pulled me to the side to talk to me privately.&nbsp;Karmen asked me was there "something going on" between me and Brittany.&nbsp;I told her absolutely not but Karmen wouldn't stop with that answer.&nbsp;She pointed out how we looked at each other, how close we seemed, how we interacted with each other.&nbsp;Karmen said it was obvious that we liked each other.&nbsp;From that day forward, I looked at Brittany a different way.&nbsp;For 7 or 8 years I looked at her as a smart, beautiful, young woman that I thought was an amazing person.&nbsp;I started to wonder if we ever could have a reationship.&nbsp;The more I looked at her in this different light, the more it seemed like we were suppose to at least&nbsp;try to see if anything would work between us.&nbsp;I used every excuse and every opportunity to be around her more.&nbsp;She had to leave work for a period of time, and I continued to feel closer to her and wanted to make myself more available to her, in any capacity.&nbsp;I began openly joking with her about how would things would be when we started dating.&nbsp;The day I found out she was being reassigned at work, I called her and told her that now that we didn't work together we could start dating. Brittany laughed it off but I couldn't have been more serious.&nbsp;I worked up the nerve to ask her out and she said yes.&nbsp;We had an amazing first date. We went out a few more times before I even tried to hold her hand.&nbsp;I will let her tell the story of how that went. A few dates later we kissed for the first time and she busted out laughing.&nbsp;I was petrified but like she always does, she assured me everything was ok. After that, everything has taken off at the speed of light and I couldn't be happier.&nbsp;I love Brittany with all of my heart.

What time should I arrive?We intend to start the ceremony on time at 6 pm.&nbsp;Please arrive between 5:30-5:45 pm. Parking?Complimentary parking is available on-site. Where is the ceremony?The ceremony will take place outdoors.&nbsp;The weather in Georgia is typically beautiful in late September.&nbsp; Will there be a transfer to the reception?The ceremony and reception are located at the same venue. Where is the reception?The same location as the ceremony.&nbsp;The ceremony will be followed by the cocktail hour and the reception to include a dinner buffet and open bar.&nbsp; Can I bring my kids?Although we love children, the only children that are invited are immediate family.&nbsp;We want our guests to be free to enjoy themselves. Can I bring a plus one?Our venue has a capacity limit, therefore, we can only invite a specific number of guests.&nbsp;You will be notified via the wedding invitation if you are allowed a plus one.&nbsp; How do I RSVP?RSVPs are required by August 22, 2025 via the provided RSVP card and envelope. What if I have a dietary requirement?Please notify us immediately What should I wear?Formal wedding attire - Cocktail or long dresses for the ladies, Suits for the men.&nbsp;No sneakers and active wear. Can I take photos?We will have an UNPLUGGED ceremony.&nbsp;We have hired a photography team that will take photos during the ceremony.&nbsp;Please live in the moment with us and enjoy the ceremony.&nbsp;No cameras or phones please.&nbsp;We will share the professional images when they become available.&nbsp; At the reception, feel free to take as many photos as you’d like.
